Peggy’s Journey to becoming a Wildlife Watercolorist

Since childhood, Peggy has found immense joy in painting and self-expression through art. Her path to becoming an artist took a unique route after earning a biology degree from Berry College. Initially torn between medicine and marine biology, she eventually pursued a Master’s in Health Science and became a certified Physician Assistant at Duke University. For six years, she practiced in orthopedic surgery in North Carolina before relocating to Christchurch, NZ, for her husband’s job. This move allowed Peggy to focus on family and fulfill her dream of becoming an artist. Now, as a self-taught watercolorist specializing in wildlife, she is inspired by nature’s beauty and captures intricate details of animals. Over the past year, Peggy has gained traction through social media and word of mouth, eager to share her art with a broader audience and bring her creations into the homes of fellow art enthusiasts. She looks forward to the journey ahead in expanding her artistic reach and impact.
